Dr. Nancy Larsen hails from a small farming community in northern Utah called Mendon. Dr. Larsen grew up
with a myriad of farm animals. She was always fascinated by cats in particular. It is not surprising that she opened Dancing Cats Feline Health Center, Utah’s first veterinary clinic for cats only, in June of 2004.
Dr. Larsen received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Colorado State University in 1993. She attended a five-week certification course in acupuncture at Colorado State University in 1999. In 1995 she became a Reiki Master under the auspice of Joy Hoban. She has attended various courses in homeopathy, flower essences, herbs and nutrition at continuing education seminars.
Dr. Larsen practices western medicine with some alternative options. The clinic has been designed with the feline patient in mind. The reception area is calming and inviting. The exam rooms have been painted with soothing colors that cats can actually see. When cats are kept as inpatients, they receive a warm fluffy blanket and, during cold weather, their own warming disc. Stop by and meet the staff and Dr. Larsen and tour our great facility
"My job is wonderful! I work with a dedicated veterinarian and caring people who really love your cat as much as you do. Our clinic offers an open-door policy. This means that for most procedures, you may be with your pet during treatment. I've worked with several veterinarians over many years. I have always had companion animals: dogs, cats, rats, hamsters and others. I currently have three cats and 4 pet sheep outside the city.
I am a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. I look forward to serving you to the best of my ability."
"I love working with animals! My own managerie incudes six cats, three dogs, two birds, a tank of fish and a two-year-old human.
This summer, I will finally be a certified technician. I also enjoy playing the viola."
"I have always been connected to cats. As a young child, I was always
bringing home strays. My love for animals expanded to dogs, birds, hedgehogs, guinea pigs and mice.
I have recently started working at Dancing Cats and I really like the atmosphere it provides for the cats and their owners. I like that Dr. Larsen offer alternative treatments for cats as well as western treatments."
"As long as I can remember, I have had cats or they have had me.
From 1974 to 2001, I served my fellow humans as a 911 dispatcher. I serve the animal world working at Dancing Cats Feline Health Center. This job is far more personal and rewarding because I can see what happens and not just hear about it."
"I enjoy being at Dancing Cats Feline Health Center because we take care of the best clients and their owners. Its great to people's reactions when they know they are getting the best possible care.""I have loved helping kitties since my earliest memories.
Dr. Larsen has given me a wonderful opportunity to volunteer at her Health Center. I sit with sick and frieghtened kitties and spend time with the clinic cats. I also take care of the Interior Design of the office. I spend the rest of my time assisting where I am needed.
I love being here for Dr. Larsen, the staff, patients and families."
